This aftermarket dial maker will swap a 'Tiffany Blue' dial into your 'regular' Patek Philippe Nautilus

Well, I wonder if anyone has opinions on this.

The most hyped watch of 2021 was the limited-edition Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 with a “Tiffany Blue” dial. The watch celebrates the 170-year relationship between Patek and American retailer Tiffany & Co.

Phillips auctioned off the first Tiffany Blue Nautilus in December for $6.5m, which I covered in person here.

Since then, celebs with whom the rest of the world is on a one-name basis with like Jay-Z and Lebron have been spotted wearing the LE Nautilus, which “retails” for $52,00 (retail in scare quotes because, really, you’re not walking into Tiffany & Co to buy this).

Now, customer dial maker Splendore Unique is offering an after-market “Tiffany Blue” dial that owners of a lowly blue or green dial Nautilus can swap into their Patek. The watch is missing the Tiffany & Co. branding at 6 o’clock, but other than that bears a striking similarity to the limited edition dial and Tiffany’s trademark robin-egg blue.

The custom dial is available via Speldnro Unique for ~$4,000.

In his IG post celebrating the Hypebeast feature, the designer behind Splendore Unique said the feature was “a celebration for people who are from where I’m from. I’m so happy to say that a black boy from North London can say his company is on one of the biggest blog pages in the world.”

Splendore Unique is in the business of making custom dials for Rolex, Patek, Audemars Piguet, and other popular modern watches; of course, this is guaranteed to be its most “controversial” customization yet.

Got any thoughts on this aftermarket “Tiffany” dial? (I know you do.) Leave a comment below.
